Reverse Advent Calendar Appeal 2019

21st October 2019

If you would like to help the foodbank make Christmas a little brighter for those in need in our city, please consider supporting our Christmas campaign.

Here is all you need to know:

What is a reverse advent calendar?

The idea is that you give back rather than receive for each of the 24 days.  Please consider running it through the month of November as we will be unable to distribute your gifts in time for Christmas otherwise.  Thank you!

Here is our calendar which you can download and print out, with a donation idea for each day:

Reverse Advent Calendar 2019

Decorating a bag with a Christmas calendar is a fun idea and a great way to store and transport the food.

Take a look at our quick video guide

How do we get the items to you?

We would be so grateful for delivery on or by Wednesday 4th December please. This gives us two more weeks to be able to give out your gifts to our clients before Christmas.

You can deliver direct to us any Wednesday until 4 December, between 10.30am and 2pm.

Our address is St Cuthman’s Church, Whitehawk Way, Brighton BN2 5HE.

Alternatively you can take your donation to one of our donation points which can be found on our webpage here – subject to the vendor having room to accommodate the donation.

What if I want to add some extras?

We are always so touched by people’s generosity at this time of year and we would encourage you to donate anything you would like to gift.

Here are some guidelines for the things we can and cannot accept:

  1. All food must be ambient (not chilled or frozen), unopened and within date
  2. We cannot accept any food or drink containing alcohol
  3. We cannot accept donations of toys, books, clothes or Christmas crackers
